Senior Research Scientist · Meta

I’m a Research Scientist at Meta working on privacy-preserving machine learning, with a focus on differential privacy, federated learning, and safe reasoning models. I design and deploy scalable, privacy-resilient systems that help protect users and ensure model integrity across Meta platforms. My work combines algorithmic innovation with production-grade deployment in highly adversarial, real-world environments. I earned my Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University, where I studied the convergence and generalization behavior of locally differentially private and federated learning systems. Notably, I developed a sparsifying algorithm that achieved near-state-of-the-art performance, both in private and non-private regimes, while using only 10% of model parameters. I’m passionate about building trustworthy and scalable AI systems that combine mathematical rigor with real-world safety impact.

Hi, I’m Ashna.A PM/ Business Analyst working in fintech, with a background in System Science & Engineering and Computer Science. I enjoy understanding how systems work, simplifying complex processes, and helping teams build products that are clear, reliable, and easy for users.Over the years, I’ve worked on a range of projects — from an IoT-based smart building model with IBM, to a cloud-backed local train ticketing system, to a machine learning app for detecting fake news. These experiences gave me a strong mix of technical and practical problem-solving skills.I’ve also earned certifications from IBM, Google, and the Government of Gujarat, covering IoT, security, and core computer systems. Outside of tech, I’ve led teams at AIESEC and GaoTek, where I learned a lot about communication, coordination, and working with people from different backgrounds.Today, I focus on large-scale credit and risk applications at RBC, working across requirements, testing, data, and delivery. What drives me is building systems that make sense — and making them better with every iteration.

Research Intern · Deeplm AI

I’m a Computer Engineering Master’s student at NYU with a passion for building AI systems that don’t just work in theory, but create real impact. My journey has taken me across deep learning, computer vision, generative AI, and world models, where I love mixing cutting-edge research with a startup-style, “let’s build it now” energy. At NeuroPixel.AI, I pushed the boundaries of AI in fashion tech and now at the NYU Center for Data Science, I work with Dr. Quentin Le Lidec on world models, blending DINO and VQ-VAE architectures to teach AI how to plan and reason in dynamic environments. I’m fascinated by how representation learning and self-supervised models can unlock more human-like intelligence.Beyond research, I’ve built ML-Ops pipelines (Ray, Deepspeed, MLflow, Docker), led projects like AdFame (AI-powered advertising), Agritech & Swadeshi (precision agriculture + rural empowerment), and explored JEPA-inspired world models for toy environments. What excites me most? Tackling bold, messy problems where AI meets the real world, whether that’s helping a startup scale fast, advancing fundamental research, or creating tools that make people’s lives easier.

I was never particularly good at school. But I’ve always loved learning. The difference, for me, is curiosity. I learn best when something captures my imagination—when I can ask questions, explore how things work, and build something that didn’t exist before.Building ventures is how I learn about the world—through the eyes of founders, the problems they’ve lived with, and the futures they believe should exist.Every founder introduces me to a world I might never have encountered on my own. When I listen to what frustrates them, what they care about, and what they wish worked differently, I don’t just discover ideas for products. I understand people more deeply.I’m also a giver by nature. I believe technology gives givers the ability to touch more lives than they ever could alone. A thoughtful product can solve a problem for someone you may never meet—and continue helping people long after it was first built. That is why I started Centaur Lab.I wanted to create a place where I could learn alongside founders, help them bring meaningful ideas into the world, and form friendships through the experience of building something together. Many of the founders I meet understand a problem deeply but don’t have a technical background. They don’t need someone to take their idea away and return months later with a finished product. They need someone who will listen, question assumptions, build alongside them, and help them learn what the market is trying to tell them. The work is rarely easy. Building something that creates happiness for other people usually requires accepting a great deal of discomfort yourself. It means hearing things you don’t want to hear. Starting over when an idea doesn’t work. Staying patient when progress is slower than expected. And continuing to show up when there is no guarantee that the outcome will justify the effort. But that is also why I love it.Every venture teaches me something new. Every founder expands the way I see the world. Every difficult moment gives me an opportunity to become more patient, resilient, and useful to the people around me.If you see something in the world that should work differently, I’d love to hear what you see. Five years ago, when I applied for my MBA in Yale School of Management, I stated that the greatest commitment in my life is to know and let other people know. With 10 years of product management experience in consumer product, AI, SAAS, monetization, market place and data infra as well as two masters degree, I decided it is time to take a leap of faith and start the next chapter of my life to enable everyone with equal access to high quality information by creating my own LLM startup. Having studied in China, Japan and the US and visited over 30 countries, I have heard countless touching stories and precious insights that should be heard by a greater audience. I believe social media should be a place for healing and understanding rather than hatred and quarrels. My company, MutuaVox, is developing a content repurposing tool to help conversational influencers such as podcasters, personal coaches or marketers to tailor their content to fit the increasing demand of creating long and short videos for platforms such as Youtube, Tiktok and Reels with the magical power of LLM and Agents. I have 20+ years of experience specializing in bringing rigor to complex systems as they scale — technically and organizationally. I apply formal reasoning techniques to real-world systems where correctness matters — spanning GPU hardware, safety-critical software, and now AI-powered systems. My PhD focused on algorithms and tools for formal reasoning that are now part of commercial verification tools. Since then, I’ve spent several years in safety-critical software verification and GPU hardware formal verification, gaining deep familiarity with the architectures and execution models that power today’s AI workloads. In recent years, my work has expanded into AI × formal methods, including: ■ Reasoning about AI behavior using logical solvers ■ Formal threat models and security for Agentic AI systems ■ Using Agentic AI to scale deductive verification (e.g., automatic loop-invariant generation for critical software) ■ Using Agentic AI for code migration to formally proven, memory safe programming languages I’m particularly interested in problems where AI systems become long-running, autonomous, and high-impact — and where informal testing and benchmarks stop being enough. At this stage of my career, I’m interested in problems where I can set direction, mentor strong engineers, and help teams reason clearly about correctness, safety, and risk — without slowing delivery. I believe rigor applied at the right abstraction level is a force multiplier for speed, not a tax on it. I’m always happy to talk with teams working on AI systems, infrastructure, safety, or evaluation — especially where the next failures are likely to be subtle and catastrophic rather than obvious.

I work at the intersection of Recommendation Systems, LLM, and Multi-Agent AI. My current focus is generative retrieval — replacing traditional two-tower models with Semantic ID-based autoregressive generation, rethinking how recommendations are made from the ground up. I also lead cross-team initiatives on model consolidation and GenAI productivity across a large RecSys org. Before Netflix, I was a Staff MLE at Snap, where I built the Spotlight short-video recommendation retrieval stack from scratch — from zero to production at scale. Four years of grinding on retrieval, ranking, and cross-team alignment taught me how to turn ambiguous problems into systems that actually work. Beyond the day job, I build multi-agent systems — autonomous AI agents with distinct personalities and goals, collaborating to get things done. I care deeply about the gap between research and production. The best ideas are worthless if they don't ship. Dreamer. Builder. Always iterating.

Founding Talent · Coframe

Focused on building high-impact teams in fast-moving environments.Currently, I’m Founding Talent at Coframe, where I’m building the talent function 0→1 and helping scale the company across engineering, product, go-to-market, and beyond. My experience spans both deeply technical and business-critical hiring. Much of my work has sat at the intersection of AI, machine learning, and complex infrastructure, partnering closely with engineering leaders to identify and land the talent needed to build ambitious products. I’ve hired across software engineering, machine learning, data, infrastructure, product, and design, as well as finance, government relations, growth, operations, and other business functions. Most recently, I spent an amazing chapter at Metropolis, where I recruited across the business and ultimately led hiring for the Advanced Technology Group. I partnered with leaders building teams across computer vision, distributed systems, and real-world infrastructure at scale, while also gaining exposure to how hiring needs evolve across a rapidly growing organization. Earlier in my career, I helped scale the engineering organization at a Series B startup and later joined the Simons Foundation, where I supported recruiting, onboarding, and recruiting operations. These experiences have shaped how I approach recruiting: get close to the business, understand what the team actually needs, and build a hiring strategy around it.I care deeply about two things: • building strong, collaborative partnerships with hiring managers by embedding myself within their orgs and becoming not just a recruiter, but a thoughtful partner in how teams are built • creating candidate experiences that feel intentional, personalized, and thoughtful while ensuring every candidate interaction reflects the team and company they’re engaging with Great technology is built by great teams. I take pride in bringing together the people, processes, and energy to build them.

Lead · DevDash Labs

I'm half of the duo behind DevDash Labs building AI-native products for knowledge workers, starting with management consulting. I grew up in Dhangadhi, a town of 200,000 in Far-West, Nepal. In 2015, I saw a BBC headline: some kid got into all eight Ivies. I thought, if he can do it, why not me? I got into one. Audacious? Perhaps. Rational? Yes. When I started as a consultant in 2023, I was promised high-impact, intellectually challenging work. Instead, I formatted slides, did menial research and operated without autonomy within the rigid pyramid. None of the strategy projects, due diligence, or M&A advisory felt like impact. I couldn’t understand how I was adding value to humanity. I was following orders from my PM, who was following orders from the Partner, who was following orders from the client. I wasn’t alone. Nobody could tell me what they were building or why it mattered. From analysts to partners, from my firm to MBB to Big 4 to Boutiques, consulting was (and remains) a transaction. Prestige and paycheck for your twenties. Forced labor to climb the corporate ladder. I couldn't live with that. A fundamental mismatch. Four years of an Ivy League education wasted. A debt to society I couldn’t pay back. This world is full of difficult problems to solve. A college education, especially at a good college, is a tryst we make with society to solve those problems. When we spend time behind powerpoint, lured by money and fame, we break that tryst. I started tinkering with AI at DevDash Labs in mid-2024. Not writing, but building. I run massive consulting projects with Claude Code that would have required a huge team. Legacy organizations haven’t caught on. They can’t move fast enough. That’s where I want to leave my mark. On how knowledge work gets done. How consulting firms operate. I’m breaking the pyramid into a diamond. I’m doing that with alkemy. At DevDash, I lead product and growth. Our unofficial motto: "आउ, दामी काम गरौं!" (Nepali: Come, let us do great work). Our approach: researchers first, builders second, consultants third. Our mission: Prove that world-class Nepali talent can build AI products that compete globally. We're a team of misfits from Nepal competing on the global stage. If you're building with AI in Nepal and want to work on hard problems, come join us: careers.devdashlabs.com Beyond building DevDash Labs: good design, philosophy, and international political economy. I write at: niteshpant.com/essays Four guiding beliefs: Knowledge over money. Impact over profits. Dare to be different. Think long term.

Chief Executive Officer · Sphere AI

Founder and CEO of Sphere "Data is the new oil" is a tired cliché because the industry is still stuck in the extraction phase. While the world drills for raw info, we’ve hit a “Data Wall” because the public internet has been scraped clean of the high-fidelity reasoning required for the next leap in AI. Sphere solved this by building the first industrial infrastructure for Machine Actionable Intelligence. We solved the Distribution Bottleneck that kept high-quality, private data siloed. We’ve moved beyond a "compute-first" mindset to a "data-first" era, standardizing “dark data”—the complex, multi-step reasoning paths of experts—into a liquid, scalable asset. At Sphere, we believe human brilliance is the primary "moat" for the future of AI. We turn human labor into a revenue-generating asset, allowing professionals to monetize their cognitive expertise while they work. We don’t just source data; we own the distribution layer that converts raw human action into the most valuable commodity on Earth.

Recently, I build AI products that help businesses automate customer engagement and sales workflows. Previously, I worked as an IT Project Manager in a bank, before joining the corporate venture capital arm of the same group. There, I evaluated early-stage SaaS startups and worked closely with founders, gaining firsthand insight into how successful technology companies are built and scaled. In 2018, I left corporate life to pursue entrepreneurship full time. Since then, I've launched multiple ventures across AI, software and e-commerce. Each taught me valuable lessons about product development, customer discovery, growth, and execution. One of those businesses (a direct-to-consumer e-commerce company) grew rapidly before the pandemic disrupted the business. Since moving to the United States in 2021, I've focused on CS, AI and data science. I'm currently working on my Data Science Master's at SFSU. Also experimenting AI-powered products that combine large language models, financial engineering, workflow automation, and product strategy to solve real business problems.
